Hi, I’m Karol De Souza — the founder of The She Rises Mastermind.

And I want to start by saying this very simply: I know exactly where you are right now… because I’ve lived it.

Not just once — but through every stage of building a yoga business that looks “successful” on the outside, while feeling unstable, exhausting, and uncertain behind the scenes.

What makes my work different is that I don’t just come at this from one angle.

I bring two worlds together:

On one hand, I’ve built a successful international retreat business — I've hosted 25+ retreats around the world in the past 6 years, leading transformational experiences that sell out, and working with clients who travel across countries just to be in my spaces.

On the other hand, I come from a business background — which means I understand structure, positioning, systems, and what actually makes a retreat business sustainable (not just inspiring).

It’s this combination that shaped everything I now teach.

Like most of my clients, I didn’t start in retreats.

I left a corporate career because I wanted something more meaningful — more aligned with who I was becoming. I trained as a yoga teacher, stepped into the wellness world, and did what so many teachers do… I said yes to everything.

More classes. More students. More hours.

From the outside, it looked like I was building something real.

But behind the scenes, I was constantly chasing income, filling my schedule to feel financially safe, and realising that even though I had “freedom”… I wasn’t actually free.

No paid holidays.
No sick leave.
No stability.
And very little space to breathe.

Everything changed when I started leading retreats.

Not because they were just another offer — but because they became the first time I experienced what it actually feels like when your work has depth, structure, and demand.

I began stepping away from low-paid studio classes and shifting my focus into creating transformational retreat experiences — the kind that don’t just fill rooms, but change people’s lives.
